Anton is a great-grandfather. He is living quite a happy life, despite his advanced age and declining health… until a group of cultivator bandits moves into the area. The nearby guardians of the area, the Order of Ninety-Nine Stars, are unable to track them down as they continue to ravage nearby towns. During one desperate winter Anton is out on a hunt when his family- his entire village- is killed or taken as slaves by the bandits. He lacks the strength to fight them, and he wasn’t even present for their arrival to die with his loved ones. At the pit of his despair, he wonders if he ever had any chance to change things. What could he even do? He cannot even pull his best bow, and his eyesight is failing. If he had been a cultivator… perhaps there might have been a chance, but he was decades- perhaps even most of his life- too late.***Notes on cultivation levels:There are five general stages of cultivation, though the fifth is extremely rare. Each cultivation style might have their own name for the stages.1. Body Tempering2. Spirit Building/ occasionally System Creation (Ninety-Nine Stars)3. Constellation Formation (Ninety-Nine Stars)4. Life Transformation/Galaxy Construction (Ninety-Nine Stars)5. Ascension Collapse
Male Protagonist, Overpowered Protagonist, Weak to Strong, Sects, Body Tempering, Eastern Setting, Death of Loved Ones
I liked the story, it being different from the young masters and reincarnators, even from old school 'I found/inherited a wise old man in a ring'.A old dude, knowing most his family is lost and willing to die to get his grandkids back, and keep them safe.Though, it gets weird after people start ascending.
the use of past and present tense in the synopsis already keeps me away, feels like it'd be another Primordial Cultivator where everything is present tense even when it makes no sense. Anton is a great-grandfather. He is living quite a happy life, despite his advanced age and declining health… until a group of cultivator bandits moves into the area.I seriously can't fathom why you would use present tense when recounting something that has happened in the past...

No joke, I read the name of the book and thought it was going to be about someone/something/some-group/some-system which cultivates elders… like it takes people and turns them into elders… slightly disappointed that it’s not
Who wants to read about an antique struggling to cultivate?
So you’d rather read about a kid struggling to cultivate or an antique reincarnated into a kid’s body?
You've got a point. That's why I stopped reading about all the dao brothers entirely. Especially the young horny waste of spaces.
Meh... It's ok I guess. The writing is good, but I can't feel close to the protagonist. I read like 140+ chaps and i got bored later. The cultivation system is different and interesting.Maybe he might get some change in his character and idk when/how.Mc wants to stop slavery and bring in a change to his world. He was already 100 before cultivating and he gained few years after breaking through few levels but decided to burn it by using some forbidden technique 🤷 but still fast enough than others in cultivation. If someone read more chaps than me they could fill you in better of how's the novel.
Who would actually want to read something like this?
Username checks out.
Its average. Not great not terrible. The MC being old is not really that important as he acts like someone much younger that he should be. Try it if you have the time othewise don't go out of your way to read it.
This is the only reason you need to not read it.You did not get wise elderly mc.Its still a young man behaviour, the author gimmicks doesnt work
achei a bem legal e diferente... meio que me senti triste em algumas partes....
